Control of solar cells

Termography sees what human eyes don't see. In the field of solar energy the infra-red images help to identify damages on the accumulating device.

That allows to find out in time where the problem resides!

The metereological conditions (hours of sun) during the year determine the electrical output of your solar device. To estimate the yearly output of a PV-cells is difficult, when not nearly impossible. A partial energy loss of 10-15% con be considerated as non acceptable. It reduces the revenue of your solar investment.

How to carry out the controls?

Thermografy is the most suitable technique to carry out this kind of controls. With our infrared cameras we can identify diferences in temperature up to 0,05 ° C.  That allows to  discover where the cause of malfunction lies.

The whole procedure has to be carried out in a very fast and suitable manner. That is normally done using hydraulic platforms or directly from the ground. Those systems aren't always secure and for this reason we take our pictures using a drone. 

Which kind of damages we recognize from air?

• Damaged module, even partially caused by rupture of the cells or the protecting glass.
• Hot spots 
• Delamination 

What kind of advantages do we obtain?

You will be sure that your system is working well. Infact it's not excluded that during the build-up-phase some error could have occoured.
